Job requirements
ABOUT YOU
Military background at SAZ12/Captain (Hauptmann) level or higher, who has since transitioned out of the German armed forces into business. This is a deliberate departure from a classic sales/BD hire profile
A network within German armed forces procurement (BAAINBw, SKB, Heer) and/or European ministries of defense, built through your own career
First-hand understanding of the operational logic, decision-making processes, and communication style of military customers
Experience with long B2G sales cycles, framework agreements, and public procurement is a plus, but not a core requirement
Additional education or experience in business or tech (e.g. MBA, a side activity or career change into industry, a technical degree) is not a must, but a clear plus
Technical fluency in hardware and software products sufficient to pitch credibly to operators and procurement alike
Native German, fluent to business-negotiation-level English; an additional language is a plus
About HIGHCAT
HIGHCAT builds technology that protects those who protect us. We develop advanced systems for firefighters, military units, emergency responders, and critical infrastructure teams, delivering tools that enhance situational awareness, improve decision-making, and save lives in high-stakes environments. Our customers operate in conditions where technology failure means mission failure, and mission failure can mean loss of life. We take that responsibility seriously.
We're backed by leading venture capital and strategic partners who understand that defense, public safety, and critical infrastructure represent not just massive markets, but moral imperatives. Our team combines deep technical expertise with operational experience in the domains we serve. We're building at scale while staying primarily focused on the people who depend most on our technology. If you believe that technology should serve those who serve, and that operational excellence is how mission-driven companies turn vision into reality, HIGHCAT is where you belong.
